Another painting influenced by our trip this year to northern Lake Superior. This part of the Canadian Shield is ruggedly wild. Forceful wind storms can form over the lake in minutes and make you run for cover. I was in awe of the towering jack pines which stood alone against this untamable climate. Often they showed their scars while they leaned with the forces which continually challenged them.
