2010 turned out to be a very wet year for camping in the Whiteshell. Every weekend brought with it massive rain storms and flooding. Nutimik Lake was rich with swelling rivers and trees bursting with lush green delight. I have in the past sat on this very spot and painted for hours. This year I caught a moment between the downpours. I wouldn't have changed this summer for the world.

Nutimik Lake is one of our favorite spots to visit even if we aren't camping out. There is nothing like that two hour drive on that narrow twisty old highway through the Whiteshell.

This is just gorgeous, Joanne!

Beautiful shot, Joanne. So pristine and tranquil.
